Press Release
November 15, 2017
Greetings,
This is to inform you of what is happening, why, and what we are to do about it according to our by-laws and state statute.
On Friday, November 10, 2017 our State Committeeman, John Brown sent in his resignation. He is fine but, has decided that it is best for him and his family, at this time, to reevaluate his commitments. That resignation has left vacancies in the following offices:
1. Fremont County State Committeeman – elected position by the Fremont County GOP Central Committee
2. Fremont County Precinct Committeeman for 6-1 – Appointed by the Fremont County GOP Executive Committee
3. Area 4 Alternate Representative (Fremont, Converse, Natrona) on the Wyoming Republican Executive Committee – elected position by the SCC
Thus, this communication. On Monday, November 27, 2017, the Fremont County Republican Party will have a Fremont County Central Committee meeting to nominate and elect our County State Committeeman. The Central Committee consists of ALL the properly elected or appointed Fremont County Republican Precinct Committeemen and Committeewomen. This is very important and is only one of the reasons that Precinct people are a critical part of this organization. You must be on the Central Committee to vote at this election but, not to run for this office. Any Fremont County registered Republican can be nominated and up for election.
According to our by-laws this election must occur within thirty (30) days of the vacancy. So this is why we cannot wait until our Dec. 18th meeting.
Note: Time and Date Monday, Nov. 27, 2017 6:00 PM Riverton City Hall
816 N. Federal Blvd Council Chamber
A Proxy may be carried by a registered Republican voter in the same Precinct as you are. Not more than two(2) proxies may be carried by any individual.
I hope you will participate in this event. Please call if you have any questions or concerns, Pepper Ottman 307 856-1178 home/msg. or 307 851-7711 cell.
A sincere “Thank You” to John Brown for his service and know he will continue to serve as a citizen and active Republican.
Please check your Website: fremontcountygop.org for FCGOP information and your Facebook page 2017 Fremont County Republican Party for more up to the date information and happenings.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
